Pianist Kim Reynolds, drummer James Miner, and Grant Izmirlian on the tenor sax. It's at St Arnold's Cleveland Park (The Abbey). I've never been to this place, but it's been on my short list since June. I don't think it's a real abbey, but I'm getting a tonsure and wearing a robe just to be sure.
As many of you know, I am leaving Washington, D.C. and going to the other Washington. I depart for Vancouver on October 20th. This will be my last gig in D.C., and it's going to be a good one. I'm going to show up around 8:00 to have a some beer and a heaping bowl of mussels before the gig. If you're planning to come by for some music, come in early and have a little conversation, too.
